every year my church has a big "reformation day" party at my house. reformation day is the same day as halloween, its the day Martin Luther nailed the 95 thesis on the catholic church door. its the day protestantism came into existence! so after that little history lesson, i'll actually talk about what i originally got on here to blog about! :) so the party is tonight, and the whole family is running hither and yon, trying to get ready. its usually really fun, we have a massive bonfire, and a hayride. i'm going to make my Aunt Kathy's amazing hot chocolate! i'm super excited about making it! i'm listening to Celine dion's christmas album right now, so thats always fun. i know, i know, its not anywhere near christmas, but for some reason i'm really excited about it this year. Feliz Navidad! i love this song!
my dog is standing still as a statue in mid walk for some reason. not really sure why. oh, there he goes. he's such a cutie!
anyways, i need to go get ready, so i will ttyl!

arsenic and old lace
have you ever gone to post something new on your blog and then suddenly realized that you have nothing whatever to say? it puts quite a damper on one's creative sensibilities. anyway, i should probably explain the title. arsenic and old lace is an old, black and white, Cary Grant movie that is absolutely amazing! it is a mixture of comedy and drama, but mostly comedy.
my day has mainly consisted of sleeping and working out (or, to be more exact, working at getting up the energy to work out. but i did run for half an hour!).
i really want to figure out how to put pictures on here! i think i shall close and try to figure out my retarded compter.
ciao!

so tired...
so yesterday was very busy for me! we had a youth football game on a field in front of our church, it was really fun, we had a lot of people. it was just flag football, but it was still really fun. the grass tore up my legs tho.
last night my youth pastor's wife, jessica, had a sleepover for the senior high girls. it was so much fun, we ate a ton of spinach dip (can't spell spinich, sorry), and then we had a video scavenger hunt. for those of you who don't know what a video scavenger hunt is, its where you have a list of things to do, and a video camera, and you drive around doing them. like, we had to leap frog down a grocery aisle (Al's food value will never be the same!), sing "gimme a break" while buying a kit kat bar (our cashier was a boy named Shelby!), get two strangers to sing "i'm a little teapot" with the motions (papa john's people are amazing!), go to waffle house, pick a song from the jukebox, and sing it really loud, extra points if others sing with you (that was really funny, we sang "sweet home alabama" even tho no one knew the words! a waitress was doing air guitar!), and a whole bunch of other stuff! then we went back to jessica's house and watched "emma" and figured out who in our lives was like jane austen charachters. it was amazing!
but, we stayed up really late, so now i'm completely exhausted.

christmas!
okay, so i am so excited about Christmas this year! i love everything about christmas. what has me thinking christmas-ish-ly? i'm listening to Celine Dion's christmas CD, and o my goodness it just got me in such a christmas mood i can't contain myself! i love so much about christmas, and its not even thanksgiving yet! altho i'm uber-excited about thanksgiving as well, because my big brother is coming home!
i think i should straighten my hair more often. at the game tonight, about four or five people didn't recognize me because my hair was so straight! and everyone was asking if i got it cut or something. i was just like, "no, its just not in a fro so you don't recognize it!" i found it amusing.
elizabeth was so cute tonight in her jersey!
we got a new couch today, and the delivery boys were... *sigh*. lets just say i wish i had been wearing makeup! for any guys who read this blog, i apologize. i know guys hate it when girls think anyone other than themselves is remotely attractive. lol jk.
anyways, so i'm going to go to bed because... well, i'm actually not going to bed, but how do you end these things?
oh wait amusing anecdote! today i decided to curl my eyelashes, and my friend caren had told me to use the blow dryer on the curler to heat it up, so that my eyelashes would curl better. so, apparently i heated it up too long, and when i put the curler on my lashes, it BURNED MY EYE! thanks a lot CAREN! i'm just kidding. it hurt really bad tho!
yesterday, we were on our way home in the Excursion, which we park outside. julie suddenly shrieked "WHERE'S OUR CAR?!" my poor father about had a stroke, he was laughing so hard. we were in the car!
anyways, good night!

icy ankles and taylor swift
so, as i was telling Shelby earlier today, my retarded computer takes forever to load anything, and i can only blog when i have a lot of time on my hands- which isn't often. so at the moment i am icing my incredibly swollen ankle and listening to Taylor Swift ("our song is the slam of screen doors!"), therefore i will update ya'll on my life lately.
last week was the junior/senior mission trip, which was AMAZING! we did a lot of hard work, but it was so great to just hang out with everyone outside of a school setting. it was just such an incredible experience. it made me face some things in my life that i've been ignoring, i'm not saying there is anything i can or will do about them, but at least i'm aditting to myself that they exist. know what i mean?
i popped a ligament in my ankle playing soccer on the trip, so that is why it is all swollen. grrrr.
anyways, there really isn't anything else to talk about.
sorry to those of you who actually read this! i have no idea who reads it, but anyways.
